Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Use of this website and its products constitutes the acceptance by you, the User (“User” or “the User”), of the terms and conditions set forth herein this Agreement or otherwise known as the Privacy Policy (“the Privacy Policy”). The User’s privacy concerns are important to Lang Enterprises LLC (the “Company”) and protecting User privacy and safeguarding User information is one of the Company’s highest priorities. The Company believes that the User should know and understand the type of information being collected from Users of the Company’s website (“Site,” as defined in the Company’s Terms of Use Policy), and, how that User information may be collected, retained, or disclosed. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide Users with a comprehensive understanding of the type, and manner in which User data is collected and utilized by the Company.
2. Collection of Information
In connection with the User’s use of the Site and Course Packs (“Course Pack(s)”), the User will be required to provide the Company with certain personal information (“Personally Identifiable Information”) including, but not limited to, the User’s name, e-mail addresses, telephone number, and other relevant Personally Identifiable Information. Any data collected by the Company or provided by the User that is defined as Personally Identifiable Information under this Agreement will be kept private unless otherwise specified by this Agreement. Further, the Company may disclose any Personally Identifiable Information regarding the User to third parties when the Company believes disclosure is in the best interests of the Company.
In addition, the User’s interaction with the Site may result in the collection of the User’s Usage Information (“Usage Information”) by the Company. The Usage Information that may be collected by the Company includes, but is not limited to, the User’s IP address, browser brand and version, device make and model, quiz results or scores, total time spent on a Course Pack, total time spent per Course Pack section, the amount of time spent on a Course Pack page, the number of times a Course Pack has been opened, the number of times a Site page has been viewed, the number of notes created by a User, the content of the notes created by a User with that User’s consent, the location of the User when accessing Course Packs for the purposes of determining common locations for usage, and self assessment scores generated by Course Packs.
The majority of the information the Company collects about the User relates to User interaction with, and use of, the Company’s Site. Usage Information collected by the Company may be provided automatically when the User accesses the Site, such as information gained by observing the User’s interaction with the Site through the use of cookies, as defined below. The Company retains the right to disclose the Usage Information of Users to any Professor or individual otherwise employed in a teaching capacity by the educational institute of the User, and their relative agents, for the sole purpose of monitoring User progress and Users’ Site interaction. Usage Information obtained through the User’s interaction with the Site or any of the Site’s modules may be disclosed to professors, relative agents of professors, or relevant individuals employed in a teaching capacity (“Faculty Members”), by the registered educational institute of the User, at the Company’s discretion. The disclosure of User Information to Faculty Members is not limited to User Information provided by the User’s interaction with the Course and related modules proscribed by the individual Faculty Member. The possession of Use Information by a Faculty Member for a specified Course Pack will not be disclosed to any Faculty Members of the same, or a different educational institution without the express consent of the Company. Usage Information may also be obtained from other sources such as the Company’s business affiliates. Personally Identifiable Information and Usage Information are referred to collectively as “Information.” The Company retains the right to disclose Information to any third parties at any time if the Company believes that the disclosure is in the best interests of the Company. The Company does not require the User to provide Personally Identifiable Information to visit the Company’s Site; however, the User may choose to provide the Company with Personally Identifiable Information through an email message, form, order, the checkout process, survey, registration process, or other portions of the Site’s functionality. This Personally Identifiable Information is used only to fulfill the stated purpose of the User’s communication, order, participation, or use of certain aspects of the Site.
3. Third-Party Information Collection
When You use the Website or its content, certain third-parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about You or Your device. These third-parties may include:

4. No Collection of Children’s Personal Information
The Company’s Sites are intended for general audiences and commercial use. The Company does not knowingly collect any Personally Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. The Company reserves the right to delete any information believed to be in violation of this Privacy Policy.
5. Use of Information
The Company automatically collects and stores Usage Information about User Site visits. Usage Information enables the Company to refine and offer better services and content to the User. The Company may share the Usage Information that it collects with business partners. The type of Usage Information that the Company may collect and share with the Company’s business affiliates include, but is not limited to:
- the date and time of the User’s visit;
- IP addresses;
- browser type, operating system, and language;
- the pages you visited;
- the address of the Web site from which the User arrived from;
- Device type;
- Quiz results;
- Total time spent on Course Packs;
- Total time spent per Course Pack section;
- Total time spent per Course Pack page;
- Number of times Course Pack(s) was opened;
- Number of Pages Viewed;
- Number of Notes Created;
- Location (i.e. where was the place most frequented for Course Pack use); and
- Self-Assessment Scores.
6. Cookies
When a User visits the Site, the Company may place text files, known as Cookies (“Cookies” or “Cookie”) on the User’s computer hard drive. A Cookie is a small piece of data that the Company’s Site can store on a User’s web browser, computer, or other device and later retrieve. A Cookie enables the Site to recognize the User as a prior user, provides the Site with data regarding prior use of the User, and assists the Company in determining what portions of the Site are most appropriate for Users. User web browsers may provide Users with the ability to not accept cookies. However, in order to take full advantage of the Site, the Company recommends that Users accept Cookies from the Site.
7. Disclosure
The Company does not sell, license, lease or otherwise disclose Users’ Personally Identifiable Information to any other parties; except that the Company may provide User Information to the Company’s business affiliates as part of the Additional Uses described in the Website Terms of Use. The Company will make every effort to discontinue the use of User Usage Information as soon as reasonably possible if requested by a User, in writing. The Company may need to retain User Information, including Personally Identifiable Information and Usage Information, in the Company’s archives and records to comply with law, resolve disputes, analyze problems, assist with any investigations, enforce Company policies, improve Company products and services, or take any actions otherwise permitted or required by law.
We will make every effort to discontinue the use of Your Information as soon as practicable if requested in writing by You. 8. No Liability
The Company has made significant investments in protecting and safeguarding User Information. The Company continuously upgrades and enhances Company security measures as new tools, techniques and technology become available. However, the Company does not guarantee that User Information will not be misused or disclosed to third parties. The Company is not liable to the User for any potential misuse or disclosure. If the User chooses to purchase a product or service offered by a different company, any User Information shared with that company will not be controlled by this Privacy Policy, the User does so at their own risk, and the Company has no liability to the Users for any act resulting from use of alternative websites.
The User understands that electronic communications may be accessed by unauthorized parties when communicated across the Internet, network communications facilities, or other electronic means. The User agrees that the Company is not responsible for any electronic communication and/or any User Information or data which may be lost, altered, intercepted or stored without authorization during the transmission of any data whatsoever across networks not owned and/or operated by the Company.
9. Consent
By using the Site, the User consents to the collection and use of User Information, both Personally Identifiable Information and Usage Information, as set forth in this Privacy Policy. If the Company decides to change this Privacy Policy, which may occur at any time without notice, the Company will post those changes on this page. By continuing to use the Site after the Company has posted the changes, the User agrees to and accepts any such modifications to this Privacy Policy. Users should periodically check the Site for changes to this Privacy Policy.
